the DREAM conversion

July 2022.

We have been enjoying Mor & More in the heatwave of 2022, swimming in Marros, Saundersfoot and Amroth, shopping in Tenby, and mackerel fishing and riding along the Beach before settling down to sea food barbecues over the fire pit with a sundowner. Have to go quick - once the sun does its downstuff, it does get chilly but no matter, the large dining room still has superb sea views over the pastures.

Though enjoying ourselves we have made the decision to be part of the no-mow movement leaving our nitrate nuked lawn to grow and have been blessed with an abundance of butterflies, crickets and a family of baby pheasants. We have just installed a new composting machine, home pod speakers and super fast internet.

Mor and More is destined to be the jewel in the crown of Chillderness over the next few years. The house has more than 3500 sq ft of space, with five huge double bedrooms. And the location, in splendid isolation, is spectacular, with panoramic ocean views. On a clear day you can see right across to Devon.

We are coaxing this barn conversion back into its agricultural setting. Chillderness Dreambuilder, our very own Dafydd, Inigo and Anjana are on the ground putting a Chillderness twist on the once white bungalow .

Things you’ll love…

Wide, panoramic 180º ocean views

Access to three beaches: Tal-Pen, Pendine and Marros, which has petrified shipwrecks and an ancient forest

Blustery walks along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the front door

Wild swimming (naked if you like, at the nudist beach…)

Things to know…

Mor & More joined the Chillderness collection in 2021 during lockdown. At the start of 2022 we are putting our stamp on the house and then have a five year vision to coax Mor & More back into the landscape

We are improving the design all the time so you may find things are a bit different, but we hope better. You can follow our progress with the magic of Instagram

The private drive up to the house is bumpy, and one of the neighbouring sheep farmers is grumpy

“You can get lost in the views from the sitting room and the walk to the beach was out of this world– so dramatic as you get close and then suddenly you are there on this deserted beach”

—Ian, Christmas 2021

Beaches and more beaches

You can walk along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the front door. Marros Sands is 20 minutes’ walk in one direction, and Telpyn Point 20 minutes in the other.

Marros Sands has some fascinating features including a shipwreck from 1886, a petrified forest and the odd naturist. Though the best thing is that it is virtually deserted as you cannot drive there.

Amroth or Pendine are a longer walk (or a short drive), and boast miles of golden sands. Pendine is dog friendly year-round, while Amroth welcomes furry friends in the off-season.

WHY THE name?

Mor is the Welsh for sea. This 3500 sq ft house can be found atop a cliff overlooking Carmarthen Bay. On a fine day you can even pick out our sixties boho beach house, Llareggub in Saundersfoot, with binoculars.

Mor & More is so much more than just sea. Carmarthen Bay is sheltered from the brunt of the Atlantic winds which batter the west-facing villages. There is a clarity to the light and air.

Location and getting there

Mor & More is situated on a private drive in Marros, not far from the lovely village of Pendine.

Tenby, Narbeth and Saundersfoot are all close by.
